MediaWiki User's Guide Things you can do

Start an article. Create your user page. Communicate in our chatroom. Also, here's a list of tips to help you along on this site:

Grammar. Be sure to use correct spelling and punctuation when writing on an article. It makes an article easier to read, and you'll be considered a good contributor. Italicize the titles of games and TV show episodes. Don't bold the title of the article in the article more than the first time you use the title in your article. Use links once per article.

Add Needs to a Page. Be sure to include all the information you can in an article. You should also try to categorize and add images when possible. Also, if you're working on an article that will take a while to complete, add {{construction}} to the top of the article.

Communicate. Talking with your fellow users is another way to help you get by on this site. Some just may want to be your friend as well!

Other. Categorize uploaded images, but don't upload images you won't use. Don't use profanity on the site, and try to be kind to others. Don't create articles unless it is related to the Mario series, Yoshi series, Wario series, or the Donkey Kong series.

An important thing to know is spam, which is what we Mario Wiki users don't want in this wiki. Spamming is usually called vandal, and it could happen at anytime. Blanking pages, adding pointless stuff (like "fjkgkojfhgkjfhkj"), or creating articles not related to the Mario/Yoshi/Donkey Kong/Wario series is spam.

When editing articles, please use proper grammar (ie. capital letters, spelling, etc.) Also, please refrain from using "you" in articles (other than your userpage and your talk page); but in articles, replace "you"s with "the player".

A place that we may want you to check out is Userpedia, a user-based wiki for users. Some users from here are at Userpedia; including myself, and we hope that you will come, too! Some of the same rules here apply at Userpedia, too, so don't spam or anything like that!

If you want, you can get rid of this after reading it, just click "edit" at the top of the page. After all, your user space belongs to you. I hope this information is helpful, and that you'll have a great experience contributing to our knowledge-base and our community. Remember to enjoy your experience here and also have fun!

Feel free to contact me at any time; I'm full of advice and information for any user, including you!

Sincerely,

Images for userboxes in main character articles

Please stop continuously replacing images with latest artworks in character userboxes for main articles regarding the page M. C. - "Mario Gals" Fan! 12:25, 9 September 2008 (EDT) on the Super Mario Wiki. This isn't a warning, and it's possible that you made a mistake by accident or without realizing it; this is simply a reminder for your information. If the action continues, then a warning will be issued. Thanks for reading and keep contributing.
If you feel this reminder was undeserved, you may appeal it.

More specifically, in main character articles like Peach, Daisy, Wario, and so forth, we usually go with what image is more appropriate for that page's character infobox. We don't need all of them to be replaced with their latest artworks (in your case, your attempting to replace them with their artworks for Mario Super Sluggers). --M. C. - "Mario Gals" Fan! 12:25, 9 September 2008 (EDT)

About the images

Cool. I use alot of kinds of emulators tho :P. Romsite has the exact same type of images you uploaded so the site you gave me must be the source for all the images on romsite. Super-YoshiMust...eat...sig...Talk? C???

Did you download the DS emulator that I gave you ? It's in French, but you can find ALL the DS roms for ALL the regions ! It's like this that I've played Suepr Mario 64 DS in Japanese. PS: The emulator haven't the recent ROMs (for exemple: Sonic Chronicles).

Flying Raccoon

Hello, Koopalmier, can you say from where you got Super Mario Bros. 3's assumed Japanese title "Super Mario Bros. 3: Flying Racoon" (and it would be written "raccoon" rather than "racoon") that you added in the article? I never heard of that before. --Grandy02 13:18, 1 December 2008 (EST)

In case you didn't noticed it, there is a little of text under the Japanese title. A French Mario serious site (well, it's not a 13 years-old kid that made it) named Mario Museum. You will need a traductor. http://www.mario-museum.net/ (I don't really remeber where it's written)

Koopalmier 14:30, 1 December 2008 (EST)

I found a shot of the Japanese box art, but can't see an additional line there (スーパーマリオブラザーズ is just Super Mario Bros.). I visited the site you told about, and found this piece of text:

Puis en 1989 arrive Super Mario Bros. 3 qui sera rebaptisé Super Mario Bros. 4: Flying Raccoon au Japon (le raton-laveur volant) car le troisième épisode de la saga, selon les Japonais, c’est le SMB2 américain, qui sortira enfin chez eux sous le nom de Super Mario USA en 1992… avant une réédition des Lost Levels en 1993 car Super Mario All Stars avait l’ambition de faire connaître ce jeu aux publics américain et européen!

Well, it tells that Super Mario Bros. 3 was later renamed in Japan to Super Mario Bros. 4: Flying Raccoon. However, that conflicts with the fact that Super Mario World was also officially known as Super Mario Bros. 4 in Japan. That piece of text really exists. I've never seen anywhere that SMB3 was referred to as SMB4: Flying Raccoon in Japanese, it is always called SMB3 and the western Super Mario Bros. 2 is always called Super Mario USA (otherwise, they had to rename this game Super Mario Bros. 3 by the logic of "Flying Raccoon"). I think one single fansite in the whole Internet that uses this title can't be used to back up the info, especially when it even conflicts true facts. --Grandy02 15:13, 1 December 2008 (EST)

Hi

Hello Koopalmier, I am Mario3v how are you just asking k? --File:SAGAMARIO.JPGMario3v (talk)File:SAGAMARIO.JPG 12:25, 5 February 2009 (EST)

I'm bored as hell, I'm sad and I want to have Mario & Luigi 3 more than everything.

Hi!

Yeah, Fawful is crazy! I'm really excited to see him in M&L 3. Wouldn't it be cool if he were in Mario and Sonic at the Winter Olympic Games?! If he were in it, I would play him every time and he could be good rivals with Dr. Eggman or Bowser!fawfulfury65Dark Fawful sprite.PNG I HAVE AWESOMENESS!

He's dead, so I don't think Nintendo would add him in M&S... Seriously, why do all the epic bad guys must die ?! Plus he was supposed to appear in the third saga of SMBZ... T.T Koopalmier 15:25, 8 August 2009 (EDT)

Well, Mario beat Bowser a ton of times and yet Bowser always comes back. Mario and Sonic at the Olympics is a sports game that does nothing with the M&L series. Besides, Alphadream and Nintendo could always find a way to bring back Fawful in a Mario and Luigi 4(If there ever is a Mario and Luigi 4). It IS so annoying that the awesome characters have to die!!! So, do you have a Wii? fawfulfury65Dark Fawful sprite.PNGI WILL RETURN!!!

Yes. Koopalmier 20:59, 8 August 2009 (EDT)

Actually, for get about the question about you having a Wii. Did you see the 7th episode of Super Mario Bros Z (You know what that is, right?) It's over an hour long! And I don't think I could sit in front of my computer for a whole hour! fawfulfury65Dark Fawful sprite.PNG

SMBZ is awesome, it looks official. But, anyway... I'm sitting in front of my computer 18 hours per day, so... And this episode is awesome ! I can't wait for the 8th one ! Koopalmier 11:51, 12 August 2009 (EDT)

I haven't seen SMBZ in a while but i'll watch it this week maybe. I've been very busy working on this new wiki (marioluigi.wikia.com) and I don't have much time to watch videos and i don't go on the computer often. Anyway, I added you to my friends list on my userpage! fawfulfury65Dark Fawful sprite.PNG

A new wiki ? I'll check that ! Koopalmier 11:13, 14 August 2009 (EDT)

Yep it needs some help though. There 41 articles and most of them aren't finished. There are only 3 users! Theres me, ratfink43, and shadow34 so that'd be great if you could become a new user there. fawfulfury65 Dark Fawful sprite.PNG

I just messed up... I mean Edited the M&LSS article.

Proposal

Sorry, we had to remove your vote on the FI proposal. You "per'd" Jardim's vote, which 3 users found invalid. Of course, you're allowed to add your vote again with a modified reason. Thanks for your understanding. Time Q (talk)
