The Purple Yoshies are a species of Yoshies. Intrestingly enough, there's a Light Blue Yoshi, but not a violet one. The Purple Yoshi's in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island only play the worlds 5th levels.
They also appear in Yoshi's Story, in the opening cutscene and the game itself, it can be unlocked by collecting all the Heart Coins in each level, which is needless to say, a very hard task.
They appeared in Super Mario Sunshine, there favorite foods are durians.
There favorite food may be also be grapes.
