A Big Hit is a move, sometimes similar to a jump, excepting that it does damage even from the side. The player can tackle an enemy or use it to slide down water ramps and hills. It doesn't work on all enemies though. It is used only in the 3-D platformers by the four Super Mario 64 DS characters. It is used in Super Mario Sunshine as well.

A Big Hit, also known as tackle in Mario Strikers: Battle League, is a move in the Mario Strikers series. It is used to knock down opponents, and if a character tackles the opponent that has the ball, it will go flying and land somewhere in the field.
