Gameplay[edit]

Occasionally, they turn red and breathe fire, and touching the Mechakoopas or their flames when this happens stuns the player temporarily. If the player finds the correct Mechakoopa within 30 seconds, they win.

Ending[edit]

The ending to Tunnel of Lava!

The surviving Mechakoopas flee into the same door that the one who stole the key fled into and exited with the rest of them at the start. If the player wins, they run up to the large door at the end of the tunnel and escape by using the key on the door. The player celebrates their victory as this happens. If the player loses, Bowser crushes the player, laughs, and raises one of his fists in triumph.
