World 1-2 (Chapter 1-2 in Yume Kōjō: Doki Doki Panic; titled A Flying Carpet Ride[1] or Mario Flies High![2]) is the second level of World 1 in Super Mario Bros. 2.

Entering the first door from the start of the stage as Luigi is the goal of the Master-difficulty challenge Evasion is Key in Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition.

Layout[edit]

At the start of the level World 1-2 is a Pidgit on a flying carpet. The flying carpet needs to be riden on in order to get across the large pit. Beezos will try to hurt the player in this area. Afterwards there are two jars - the first has a 1-UP at the bottom, and the second has a key for opening the locked door. There is also a Magic Potion and two Ninjis. When the player enters the door to a cave, the player have to break brick walls using bombs while avoiding Snifits. There is a Magic Potion in this area. To get the Mushroom, the player needs to destroy the blocks blocking the way first. After leaving the cave, there are a lot of vegetables. After the player goes through the door, they will find Pink Birdo.
