You were the one that uploaded the pics for Birdo (Yellow)'s tricks for Mario Kart Tour, right? I'm glad that you contributed to the Trick pics for that game, but the way the pics look are a bit off. Here's what I usually do when I take these:
*I use the 50cc setting so it can be much easier for me to take the photo.
*I screenshot the trick at the right time (no one in the way, when they're not spinning, etc.) and crop it just right.
*I use this site to convert my pics to .png's, and I use the "best quality (lossless compression)" option for the quality.

== Dr. Mario World World Screenshot ==
I noticed that whenever you upload a screenshot that you have taken from Youtube, it's in PNG form. Unless you are planning to upload a clearer version of the screenshot yourself at a later time, could you please upload them in JPG? This is because the screenshot function in phones tend to be in JPG format, therefore it's more convenient as I don't have to save it as PNG (which would also make the screenshot bloat in size). I moved that "Frosteor" page you created to ice crystal. Conjectural names should be simple, yet accurate. "Frosteor" is neither simple (it's an awkward portmanteau) nor accurate (they're not meteors, so the name doesn't fit, even if they're an icy counterpart to the lava pool-making meteors found in the same level). Also, conjectural names must be treated as such; on the meteor article you wrote "Distantly related objects called Frosteors also appear in the Shiverburn Galaxy" as if "Frosteor" was an official name.

Super Mario Encyclopedia[edit]
For future reference, we can't cite Super Mario Encyclopedia (the english translation) due to having names originating from the wiki, such as Soarin' Stu. It originates from the wiki. -- FanOfYoshi at 03:19, 28 December 2018 (EST)
- They weren't citing them, they were mentioning the SMBE naming controversy on the subject pages, which should stay on the Super Mario Bros. Encyclopedia and List of Mario-related controversies pages.
Mario JC 03:29, 28 December 2018 (EST)
Categories[edit]
Hello, Doomdorm64. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must correctly categorize the file into a subject category. It's simple to learn how to do so. Just search for the correct category by starting with the following groups:
When uploading, copy the full title of the category and insert it in square brackets into the summary text box below the aboutfile template, replacing the uncategorized template entirely. If you're using the upload function from the text editor, simply add the category link to the description. For example, images related to the game Super Mario World would use: or one it its subcategories. Media files would use: Please consider the above information before uploading more files. Keep in mind that some files can belong to multiple categories. Do not put images into the media files category, or vice versa. If you continue uploading files without categorizing them correctly, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing. |
Your recent uploads were missing the proper categories. Please replace the uncategorized template with the proper category, as shown above. 11:34, 15 January 2019 (EST)
Moving files[edit]
You can simply move the file to the lowercase .png extension yourself by clicking the "move" tab at the top of the page. No need to tag it with move. Mario JC 21:03, 16 January 2019 (EST)
- Also, after moving a file, please make sure that any pages that still link to the old name (by going to Special:WhatLinksHere on the old name redirect page, found under "tools" on the left navigation pane) are edited to link to the new name, and that the old name is then marked for deletion.
Mario JC 08:44, 20 January 2019 (EST)
Italics[edit]
Please also remember to italicise game titles. Mario JC 02:37, 17 January 2019 (EST)
Please remember this; you were missing them in your recent article. See the Manual of Style for more information. Mario JC 05:51, 2 February 2019 (EST)
Sprites[edit]
For future reference, never, ever, ever, ever, ever save a sprite as a .jpg. That absolutely destroys sprites. Save as a .png.
Furthermore, please upload singular sprites, not full sheets, and do so at their actual size. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 01:55, 19 January 2019 (EST)
JPG to PNG[edit]
When a file is asking for a PNG replacement, it doesn't mean "upload the JPG as a PNG". That is against policy, and the Wario World images you uploaded showed no signs of improvement in any way.
When you do upload a valid image, the links to the old image need to be replaced, as Mario jc reminded you above. This applies to both moved images and replacement images. 11:50, 20 January 2019 (EST)
Aboutfile[edit]
Hello, Doomdorm64. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must correctly use the aboutfile template. What you were doing looks like this, and it is an inconvenience for other users to fix up the template. It is simple to learn how to format it correctly. The pre-loaded syntax is shown below. Just replace the necessary parts with that corresponding information, and remove the entire line for the parameter(s) you don't use. A description of the image subject (parameter |
Hello, regarding your recent uploads while you have uploaded images with a properly added aboutfile template in the past you seem to be forgetting to add the aboutfile template to your uploads as of 15:17, 19 January 2019 with this image. A reminder of how to do this is listed above this comment. Thanks for your understanding. Doomhiker (talk) 11:09, 21 January 2019 (EST)
Summary[edit]
For future reference, when uploading images ==Summary== is automatically added to the image, so adding it before the image is uploaded will result in two ==Summary== headers being on the image. Thanks for your understanding. Doomhiker (talk) 9:33 January 27 2019 (EST)
Image quality[edit]
The Wario World images you are uploading are rather low quality. Where are you getting them? Is there a chance you can find/capture better quality images? 12:49, 12 February 2019 (EST)
- The same applies to your Super Mario Galaxy (2) images, like this, this, and this. Scrooge200 (talk) 13:13, 12 February 2019 (EST)
In regards to the Super Mario Galaxy images you've uploaded meaning to replace the files that are already there, they weren't of any better quality. The images you uploaded are incredibly blurry, while the originals are clearer. Please compare the images before replacing them, thanks. 13:20, March 19, 2019 (EDT)
I agree with Alex95 (talk), but in general. Make sure to tag your uploads with image-quality or give my guide to better quality screenshots a try. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 11:13, April 17, 2019 (EDT)
Reminder[edit]
Please stop forgetting to fix page links after moving a page on the Super Mario Wiki. This isn't a warning, and it's possible that you made a mistake by accident or without realizing it; this is simply a reminder for your information. If the action continues, then a warning will be issued. Thanks for reading and keep contributing. If you feel this reminder was undeserved, you may appeal it. |
You have been told over and over again that when you move a page or file, you need to fix the links so they point to the new name. Click the "What links here" button on the left while on the old name's page to get a list, then fix them. Additionally, when citing sources, you need to add a "references" section with the <references/> markup underneath it (like this). 01:40, 17 February 2019 (EST)
Redirects[edit]
Hi, regarding your creation of redirects, don't create them unless they're alternate names used in official venues, are a widely common fan name used for the subject, or are otherwise a common alternate name originating from the wiki's olden days or otherwise. I'm referring specifically to examples like your redirecting of Battlestation Galaxy to Dreadnought Galaxy (not to mention that in this case it would cause confusion with Battlerock Galaxy). Please keep this in mind, otherwise you may see a reminder or even a warning. Thanks! (T|C) 05:18, 10 March 2019 (EDT)
New stub articles[edit]
One or more pages that you have recently created have been deleted or marked as a stub article. Please consider the following ideas and suggestions when expanding/creating an article:
|
Specifically Veggie Patch, Spooky Woods, Snowful Slope and Forest Ruins. Please try to put as much information as possible in your articles when creating them next time. (My suggestion would be a more detailed layout section.) Also, try to avoid unnecessary padding to make the article appear longer than it needs to be (the bolded parts here: "Snowful Slope is the second level of the world Chill 'n' Char Island where Donkey and Diddy Kong venture through in the game DK: Jungle Climber."). Mario JC 04:33, April 12, 2019 (EDT)
Minor edits[edit]

If the action continues, then a warning will be issued. Thanks for reading and keep contributing. If you feel this reminder was undeserved, you may appeal it. |
I'm referring specifically to this. Please see my message above concerning the creation of redirects on the wiki, or else a warning will be issued. Thanks! (T|C) 09:36, December 8, 2019 (EST)
- One, the redirect was legit – they simply confused Sky Station Galaxy with Good Egg Galaxy. Two, it's generally considered common courtesy to give another informal reminder under the original message if the original message was given a while ago. I strongly suggest appealing this. TheDarkStar

Birdo (Yellow) MKT tricks[edit]
You were the one that uploaded the pics for Birdo (Yellow)'s tricks for Mario Kart Tour, right? I'm glad that you contributed to the Trick pics for that game, but the way the pics look are a bit off. Here's what I usually do when I take these:
- I use the 50cc setting so it can be much easier for me to take the photo.
- I screenshot the trick at the right time (no one in the way, when they're not spinning, etc.) and crop it just right.
- I use this site to convert my pics to .png's, and I use the "best quality (lossless compression)" option for the quality.
If you could follow those steps so the pic could look higher quality, not to mention bigger, you'll be alright. SonicSpeed48 (talk) 15:29, April 21, 2020 (EDT)
Super Mario 3D World level table[edit]
Hi, I understand your desire to fix the level table in the Super Mario 3D World article, but the article would do better with close-up screenshots of level icons (you know, the miniature icons found on the world map) instead of screenshots of the levels themselves. Thanks! (T|C) 07:48, May 1, 2020 (EDT)
Candy[edit]
Y'know, I was thinking earlier this morning how we needed images of the MP8 candy transformations, but I didn't have a way to do that myself. So congrats on reading my mind :P 14:17, May 17, 2020 (EDT)
jpg-png[edit]
If there's clear proof it's a png converted from a jpg, just mark it for deletion. jpg-converted pngs are not allowed. Mario JC 22:20, June 17, 2020 (EDT)
Pepper[edit]
The image I uploaded had worse quality, but it showed the pepper better. Meanwhile, the image you linked had better quality, but it showed less pepper. (It was also hard to distinguish the pepper from the tounge.) DarkNight

Paper Mario: The Origami King stats[edit]
Apparently to get the enemy stats, someone needs to hack into the game's files. It's possible that hasn't been done yet, and usually seems to take quite a while. The game has only been out for one month too. So you should probably cool it with the rewrite-expand notices for now. Nightwicked Bowser

YTT Boo sprite[edit]
Hi there. Just letting you know that there are two separate sized Boos at Yoshi Topsy-Turvy#Enemies. The small version you replaced is a unique enemy, and the larger version already exists at File:YTT Big Boo.png.

Dr. Mario World World Screenshot[edit]
"Frosteor"[edit]
On an unrelated note, don't use the word "strangely" in wiki articles. Strangeness is subjective. 17:54, July 24, 2021 (EDT)
Swimming Goombas[edit]
Back in 2020, you have added this bit of information to the Goomba article: "Goombas cannot swim and drown instantly when they touch water." What is the source for that? — Lady Sophie (T|C) 15:53, February 14, 2025 (EST)
- This is inferred from the Goombas' depiction in Super Mario Odyssey, would you like to change it? --Doomdorm64 (talk) 17:32, February 14, 2025 (EST)
