- “That right there is a Shy Guy Shop! Land on that space to see what's for sale.”
- —World 0-2, Mario Party: Star Rush
Shy Guy Shops are areas in boards that players can buy items in in the Toad Scramble and Balloon Bash modes of Mario Party: Star Rush and Minigame Match mode of Mario Party: The Top 100. Designated by a special icon on the map and a tent-like structure with a Shy Guy manning it, Shy Guy Shops offer various items of interest, such as Double Cards, Golden Dash Mushrooms, Duel Gloves, and more. Each time a player visits, the selection is limited to three random items (i.e. the selection changes every time). Unlike their precedents, the Item Shops, Orb huts, and Candy Shops, these shops have to be landed on rather than passed by to access them. In most maps, there is only one Shy Guy Shop, and some maps do not have Shy Guy Shops at all. Most items cost three to five coins.
