The Octopot launches wave after wave of Octos at Mario and Yoshi. Using the [[Super Scope]], the player can blast the Octos right as they emerge from the Octopot, eliminating them. The player can also shoot the Octopot itself. After sustaining gunfire, the jar-like Octopot shatters into many small pieces, thus ceasing to exist. This is the only mini-boss that is not fought twice in the entire game.

The Sea Devil is a strange jar-like creature appearing only in Yoshi's Safari. It lives underwater and is the source of Tako. During Bowser's invasion of Jewelry Land, the Sea Devil serves as a mini-boss in his forces. Mario and Yoshi encounter the Sea Devil underwater in the Crescent Coast of the Light Realm. The Sea Devil launches wave after wave of Tako at Mario and Yoshi. Using the Super Scope, the player can blast the Tako right as they emerge from the Sea Devil, eliminating them.
