Fireplace Race is a Co-op minigame appearing in Super Mario Party.
Introduction
Swoops perched on the ceiling awake and fly downwards, spooking the players in the process. The lights then go out, and the players light their torches from the fireplace to provide some light. The minigame then starts.
Gameplay
In this minigame, the players are holding candles while in a dark room. They must light all 30 of the candles in the dark room while evading Swoops that transport all players they catch back to the start. Occasionally, lightning flashes, briefly lighting up the room, allowing the players to see unlit candles as well as the Swoops. The minigame ends once time runs out (resulting in a C-Rank) or once all candles are lit.
On Challenge Road, this is the fourth challenge of Chestnut Forest and the 14th challenge overall. The goal is to finish in 25 seconds for the normal challenge and 20 seconds for the Master Challenge.
Rank requirements
If this minigame is played in French, Spanish, or Italian, the ranks go in order of A, B, and C.
