[[Mario]] and [[Luigi]] may use them as standard, solid platforms. However, whenever [[Bowser Jr.]] in his [[Junior Clown Car]] slams down on a layer of Hone Yuka, it causes brief ripples which must be avoided so as not to be stunned. If an enemy is on Hone Yuka as the shockwave occurs, it is likely to be stunned for a moment as well.

Bone Bridges,[1] originally informally referred to as "bridges,"[2] are vertebral platforms in New Super Mario Bros. U and New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe. They occur only in The Final Battle, in which they make up the majority of the available footing. Each layer is found above lava. Bone Bridges generally provide stable footing for the player character. However, individual segments ripple when Bowser Jr. slams down on a bridge with his Junior Clown Car. Contact with the ripples stuns the character. If an enemy is on a bridge as the shockwave occurs, it is likely to be stunned for a moment as well.

Bone Bridges are one of the few objects present in the original New Super Mario Bros. U campaign to be absent in New Super Luigi U. Bone-like lifts appear in their place and serve a comparable role.
