Gridiron Gauntlet is a 4-Player minigame appearing in Super Mario Party.

Introduction[edit]

Inside a stadium, the players are right in the middle of the field. Chargin' Chucks charge at the players, startling them, but they move out to avoid them. After the Chargin' Chucks pass, the players move to their starting positions, and the minigame starts.

Gameplay[edit]

The minigame is set in a grid-like area. Players must pay attention to the areas that several Chargin' Chucks charge at. Players can also push others and interfere with the dodging. Each player can take three hits before being eliminated. The last player standing wins. However, if 30 seconds have passed, every player still standing wins, regardless of the number of their lives remaining.

On Challenge Road, this is the 10th challenge of Mushroom Beach and the 31st challenge overall. In the normal challenge, the player must get first place with normal rules. In the Master Challenge, the player must get first place with only one life, while other players have three lives as usual.

Additionally, this is one of the 10 minigames in Mariothon. In this mode, the minigame is extended to up to 90 seconds, with a short break after 60 seconds. The minigame ends when all players have been eliminated or after 90 seconds have passed. Players' scores are based on how long they have survived, and they can earn a maximum of 1,000 points if they have survived for the whole 90 seconds.
