Bowser, Yoshi's Topsy-Turvy

Egglings are the natives of Eggland that were attacked by the Koopa Troop during the events of Yoshi Topsy-Turvy. They managed to escape to Yoshi's Island, but they were turned into apples by one of Bowser's spells and trapped inside the Forbidden Pop-Up Book that Yoshi's Island had become with everything else. The Spirit of Cuteness asks Yoshi to save them in exchange for Happiness Medals. In the missions given by the Spirit of Cuteness, Yoshi is required to save a certain number of Egglings. To turn them back to normal, Yoshi must eat the apples.

There are at least 100 Egglings; they come in three sizes and twenty varieties, including Gold, Silver, Pearl, Zebra, Panda, Tiger, Leopard, Giraffe, Squirrel, Cow, Snake, Turtle, Bee, Deer, Dove, Flamingo, Raccoon, Owl, Angel, and Bear. Each individual Eggling also has a name; their names are puns based on their type.
