Breath Swing
A precursor of the Breath Swing
The flaming ball technique used by Bowser in the manga

Breath Swing is Bowser's Star Swing in Mario Super Sluggers. When used, Bowser will breathe fire on the ball and hit it. Three fireballs will streak across the field, similar to the ones fired via error items, except more spread out. They will have the same effect: Burning any fielder who tries to get the ball. The fire will fade as the ball slows down.

In the Super Mario Land 3 manga, published in 1990, in a chapter based off Baseball, Bowser executes an identical move when he goes as the hitter: he burns the ball with his breath and then hits it.
