A floatie virus is a type of virus from Dr. Mario World. Introduced in World 3, they are viruses inside floats. When a color capsule matches the color of the floatie virus or that it is eliminated, the floatie virus will move to a different part of the stage, where depending on the stage they may have a preference in where they will move to. Each floatie virus takes three hits before they are completely eliminated. Dr. Iggy's skill is related to floatie viruses, where in stage mode his skill removes up to three of them in the stage, whereas in versus mode his skill is to send up to 15 floatie viruses (each taking only one hit to be eliminated) to the opponent's field.
In-game description[edit]
- "When you try to eliminate these viruses, they'll flee! To get them for good, you'll need to match them with a capsule three times."
