Grabbing Ghosts are a type of ghost in Luigi's Mansion and the remake. Red Grabbing Ghosts (or red grabbers) will choke Luigi and cause him to lose 5-13 HP, letting go if he takes the maximum amount of damage. The turquoise Mirror Ghosts (or invisible grabbers)  are completely invisible unless Luigi stuns one with his flashlight. However, they are visible in the large mirror on the wall of the Mirror Room, the only room in which they are encountered (in the PAL Hidden Mansion, they are also encountered in the Wardrobe Room). Another hint to their location is a small puff of dust on the ground that appears when they materialize. Later on, purple Cinema Ghosts (or invisible grabbers)  appear, which Luigi has to detect via their silhouette cast on a movie screen in the Projection Room; similar to Mirror Ghosts, this is the only room in which they can be found. Like Mirror Ghosts, they leave behind a dust cloud when they materialize. These two types are otherwise identical to the red type. All of the variations can be hurt by any element as well.

Grabbing Ghosts are usually found in groups either with other ghosts or their own kind. They attack by grabbing hold of Luigi from behind and sqeezes him. The player had to shake the Control Stick to throw off a Grabbing Ghost.
Sneakers from Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon and Slinkers from Luigi's Mansion 3 behave similarly to Grabbing Ghosts.

The weakest Grabbing Ghost is white and has ten heart points. This type cannot damage Luigi. Red Grabbing Ghosts have twenty heart points and will damage Luigi from 5-13 points of damage. Turquoise Grabbing Ghosts, which are really called Mirror Ghosts, can become completely invisible to the naked eye (unless Luigi stuns one with his flashlight). Luigi had to improvise to beat these Grabbing Ghosts by spotting their reflections in a mirror in the Mirror Room. But they can be seen with a small puff of dust under them. Later, purple Grabbing Ghosts called Cinema Ghosts would appear, whom Luigi had to detect via their silhouette cast by a projector on a movie screen in the Projection Room. They too can be seen by dust. The latter two types are otherwise identical to the red type. All of these ghosts can be hurt by any element very well.

Grabbing Ghosts are a type of ghost in Luigi's Mansion and the remake. They attack by grabbing hold of Luigi from behind, which prevents movement. Grabbing Ghosts can be shaken off from wiggling the Control Stick. Grabbing Ghosts make gasping or wheezing noises while moving. The weakest Grabbing Ghost is light lavender (white in the remake) and has ten Heart Points, while all other types have twenty. The lavender type (or white grabbers)[1] cannot damage Luigi (unless they are bumped into), but will still grab him, leaving him vulnerable to attacks from another ghost. Red Grabbing Ghosts (or red grabbers)[2] will choke Luigi and cause him to lose 5-13 HP, letting go if he takes the maximum amount of damage. The turquoise Mirror Ghosts (or invisible grabbers)[3] are completely invisible unless Luigi stuns one with his flashlight. However, they are visible in the large mirror on the wall of the Mirror Room, the only room in which they are encountered (in the PAL Hidden Mansion, they are also encountered in the Wardrobe Room). Another hint to their location is a small puff of dust on the ground that appears when they materialize. Later on, purple Cinema Ghosts (or invisible grabbers)[4] appear, which Luigi has to detect via their silhouette cast on a movie screen in the Projection Room; similar to Mirror Ghosts, this is the only room in which they can be found. Like Mirror Ghosts, they leave behind a dust cloud when they materialize. These two types are otherwise identical to the red type. All of the variations can be hurt by any element as well.

Sneakers from Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon and Slinkers from Luigi's Mansion 3 behave similarly to Grabbing Ghosts.
