Stake Your Claim is a 4-Player minigame appearing in Super Mario Party. The name is derived from a phrase meaning "to indicate something that belongs to a person."

Introduction[edit]

The players run to their tree stump "desks." They then look to the blackboard curiously, while Toadette gestures to it. The camera zooms into the blackboard, and the minigame starts.

Gameplay[edit]

The minigame takes place in a forest with cherry blossoms. The players are shown a screen with a rectangle divided up into four sections. Each player selects a section to claim it. The player with the smallest claim gets one point, the player with the third-largest claim gets two points, the player with the second-largest claim gets three points, and the player with the largest claim gets five points. Not selecting a section in time rewards no points. The player who has the most points after five rounds wins.

On Challenge Road, this is the twelfth minigame of Ghostly Hollow and the 36th minigame overall. For the normal challenge, the player must score 15 points. For the Master Challenge, the player must score 20 points.
