Jellybobs, originally named Pneumos,[1] are floating jellyfish found in Wario Land 3. A single Jellybob is featured as an opponent in Dr. Mario 64.

History[edit]

Wario Land 3[edit]

In Wario Land 3, Pneumos float in the air until Wario is under them. After that, their mouths turn into a stinger and dive at him, which triggers Puffy Wario if he is stung. If Wario bumps into them while they are idle, they will float higher into the air. They act very similar to the bees found in Wario Land II. They appear in the following levels in the following quantities:

Dr. Mario 64[edit]

A Pneumo, now renamed Jellybob, reappears in Dr. Mario 64. In Story mode, Dr. Mario faces Jellybob as his fifth opponent. When Mad Scienstein runs away from both Dr. Mario and Wario at the beach, Mad Scienstein knocks a coconut down from a coconut tree, hitting Jellybob on the head behind a rock. As Wario passes by, Octo mistakenly assumes Wario did it and stings him, turning him into Puffy Wario. As Dr. Mario approaches Jellybob, it got surprised, initiating a battle at the beach. As an opponent in Vs. mode, Jellybob has the second-lowest AI level, tying with Silky, Appleby, and Octo.
