Merge with Sledge Bro[edit]

Settledproposal.svg This talk page proposal has already been settled. Please do not edit any of the sections in the proposal. If you wish to discuss the article, do so in a new header below the proposal.

merge 9-0

Looking back on this article and the stuff LinkTheLefty said on the Sledge Bro article, i feel like there is more than enough reasons to merge this;

  • All the info here is on the Main Sledge Bro article already.
  • It's name is only Mega Sledge Bro in america. In EVERY other version, it's just Sledge Bro.
  • Sledge bros are already treated as the big forms of Hammer Bros, why would we need an article about a Big form of a Big form of an enemy?
  • The article is only One paragraph long, and again, is already on the main Sledge Bro Page.
  • As LinkTheLefty said here, The name in the American version may very well be because of the Japanese name changing from Himan Burosu to Mega Burosu, or from Fat Bro to Mega Bro.

Support[edit]

  1. Somethingone (talk) Per Proposal.
  2. Mari0fan100 (talk) Per Somethinggone. These are definitely good reasons as to why this article should be merged. We don't exactly need a one-paragraph article-it's basically a stub otherwise.
  3. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) Localization inconsistency that isn't even in all English versions. Per proposal.
  4. Hewer (talk) Mega Sledge Bro getting its own page as if it was its own character is inconsistent with the other Mario Party 10 bosses that are enlarged versions of regular enemies, which got merged with their species except for Mega Mechakoopa, which later reappeared (though I feel there is an argument for merging that page with Mechakoopa, but that's for another discussion). I initially thought it was because Big Sledge Bros aren't a species, but given the way we have Mega Cheep Chomp merged, that doesn't really make sense. Also, per all.
  5. Ray Trace (talk) Per all.
  6. 7feetunder (talk) Per proposal.
  7. Archivist Toadette (talk) It's not like there actually were any large Sledge Bros other than this one.
  8. Keyblade Master (talk) Doesn't seem much different than other Sledge Bros.
  9. TheFlameChomp (talk) Per all.

Oppose[edit]

Comments[edit]

I know that talk page proposals are supposed to last for two weeks. However, it seems like no one is opposing this proposal. Still, I'm gonna be patient and wait for it to pass-and it probably will since no one is opposing it yet. This page to me seems like extra clutter, and besides, should a page really just be one paragraph long? Mari0fan100 (talk) 18:31, June 29, 2021 (EDT)

If it was a distinct thing that had a minor role then i guess you could excuse the shortness of it, But Mega Sledge Bro is literally just a normal Sledge Bro with a localization inconsistency so not really. Somethingone (talk) 19:06, June 29, 2021 (EDT)
Understood, although I'm not trying to excuse the shortness of the article. I do think after further examination, this was something that should've been done a while ago. Mari0fan100 (talk) 20:50, June 29, 2021 (EDT)
There are a fair amount of articles around the wiki that are only one paragraph long, those are often for subjects that don't have much to say about but still warrant articles such as minor NPCs or certain key items.
