#{{User|Ninja Squid}} To be honest, I don't feel like it violates the Minor NPCs rule at all. It is clearly written there that "However, if a Minor NPC can be shown to have importance to the game or story, the character warrants a conjectural name determined by the wiki and its own article.", which is the case here. This particular Paint Guy has stolen a good amount of paint from the red Mini Paint Star, which are needed to clear a level in Paper Mario: Color Splash. Furthermore, "he claims to have seen the error of his ways, stating he regrets his life choices", which showcases that he got a somewhat define personnality, which makes it sufficiently distinct in my opinion from other Paint Guys. With the way Paper Mario: Color Splash is structured in both story and characters, I believe this character follows the standards required to have its own page. | #{{User|Ninja Squid}} To be honest, I don't feel like it violates the Minor NPCs rule at all. Wasn’t actually expecting this “outcome”, but I do feel this article is necessary as he does serve as a partner in this game and must be located to actually beat the level. Regardless of whether or not this article goes, I could add some of this information onto the [[Paint Guy]] article to suffice. {{User:The Mansion/sig}} 15:46, December 8, 2020 (EST) |

Possible name for the subject[edit]
Given what he says while attached to the sign, would Incredibly Handsome Paint Thief work as a title for this article? (T|C) 14:32, September 18, 2020 (EDT)
- It's written in plural, so I'd assume it's just meant to be a bit of bragging about Shy Guys in general. The other signs say "Beware the Paint Thieves!" and this one is different as a clue. Scrooge200 (talk) 14:56, September 18, 2020 (EDT)
Sorry to say this but I think the existance of this article is going a bit overboard. This Paint Guy does not stick around for very long, is only there to repaint the mini paint star, does not have an official name. I think this information works fine on the Paint Guy article. Nightwicked Bowser

Don't Merge 1-8
When this article was first created, I thought its existence was going a bit overboard, as I said in the section above. I feel this information would work well in the Paint Guy article as this is a conjectural title and the Paint Guy himself only shows up briefly. I also feel it violates MarioWiki:Minor NPCs a bit.

- Ninja Squid (talk) To be honest, I don't feel like it violates the Minor NPCs rule at all.
- Benjaminkirsc (talk) I hate that idea. Also per Ninja Squid.
Ruddy Road Paint Guy though may have the same name, but it doesn't mean merging it would be the thing. - FanOfYoshi (talk) Per all.
- DarkNight (talk) Per Ninja Squid.
- Power Flotzo (talk) Per NS.
- Scrooge200 (talk) This character is an actual partner, and follows you around for a meaningful portion of the level. He has a good amount of dialogue and is an important character for the first Mini Paint Star in the level.
- The Mansion (talk) Per the explanations provided above, also note I created the article to differentiate and distinguish him from the otherwise generic Paint Guys. I’m not sure why, but I’ve always wondered if his turning over a new leaf is actually sincere, making him a bit more interesting character. He’s just fascinating that way.
- ChompworksEngineer (talk) Per everyone opposing.
