Heads Up, Hop Up is the fifth level of World 1 in Yoshi's New Island. It is a vertically-scrolling level with a focus on jumping between moving Flatbed Ferries to reach the top. In this respect, and also for being the fifth level of the game, the level parallels the similarly athletic-styled Hop! Hop! Donut Lifts from Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. This level's playable Yoshi is the purple Yoshi.

Overview

Purple Yoshi starts the level in a grassy area with a Tap-Tap, an Egg Block, and a pipe nearby. The pipe leads to an area that scrolls upward, where he must climb up a network of Flatbed Ferries while avoiding Snifits to reach an area with Winged Clouds. The leftmost cloud holds a Spring Ball, which can be used to propel the Yoshi higher up. After navigating past some more Flatbed Ferries and enemies, Purple Yoshi reaches a pipe which brings him close to the Goal Ring.
