Akamajakushi
An Akamajakushi from Wario Land 3
First appearance Wario Land 3 (2000)
Subject origin Tadpole
Comparable

Akamajakushi are jumping enemies from Wario Land 3. Despite resembling tadpoles, they are described as "fish"[1][2][3]. They attack similarly to Tobī from Wario Land II, except that they are visible in the water, or sometimes lava, before they are ready to leap. They also have the added effect of causing Wario to roll backwards until he hits a wall, instead of simply bouncing back. They are typically positioned to knock Wario away from the objective, requiring avoiding them, which can be done by dodging them or jumping on them to eliminate them. They are also larger than Tobī. They only appear if Wario is on the surface, as they are absent if Wario is underwater.

They appear in both The Peaceful Village and The Big Bridge, where there are three and five of them in the respective levels.
