| '''Brinstar Depths''' is a part of [[Brinstar]] in the game ''Metroid''. It was the location of [[Kraid]]'s hideout. It also appears as a stage in ''[[Super Smash Bros. Melee]]''. As the name suggests, it takes place underneath Brinstar. The stage starts off on a large rock type platform (players stay here the whole time). There are few floating rocks, which players can jump at times. However, this may be dangerous, as the rocks are small.

| Every once in a while, Kraid will come into the background. He will knock into the platform, making it turn. This can be very dangerous, as the player could end up falling off by accident. Very rarely, the platform will tilt all the way around in one go. Kraid can also rarely hit a player if he or she is in the way of the slash. Other than that, there isn't really any other gimmicks worth of note.
