Add lists of Power Shots?

With the lack of information on this page, I'm wondering if we should include a list of Power Shots for each of the tennis games. Technetium (talk) 17:25, September 7, 2023 (EDT)

Probably should include it in the Offensive Power Shot and Defensive Power Shot article (these two honestly should be merged to the Power Shot article tbh I digress) but yes these two articles should be as comprehensive as Mega Strike. Ray Trace^(T|C) 19:59, September 7, 2023 (EDT)

Split the Power Shot article into Power Shot (Mario Tennis series) and Power Shot (Mario Golf series)

Having one article for two different mechanics just because they share the same name is confusing. Additionally, Offensive Power Shot and Defensive Power Shot could be merged into the Power Shot (Mario Tennis) article if a split were to occur.

Proposal Option 1: Split the Power Shot article.

Proposal Option 2: Split the Power Shot article, then merge the Offensive and Defensive Power Shot pages into the Tennis Power Shot article.

Support (Option 1)

1. Mario (talk) These two power shots have little in common with each other and should be split. I'm iffy about a merge for now, but currently, the information presented is repetitive and may overlap with the resulting articles.
2. PrincessPeachFan (talk) Split. And if this goes through, we should separate the Special Shot article because only the Hoops and Sports Mix Special Shots are shared between games.

Support (Option 2)

1. Technetium (talk) In my opinion, doing both would result in the highest quality articles - less confusion and ultimately more detail.
2. Pseudo (talk) Per proposal, and this would appear to be the best way to organize this.
3. LadySophie17 (talk) These pages have one paragraph that basically amounts to "Offensive/Defensive Power Shots are Power Shots used on the offensive/defensive". They could easily be incorporated into a general Power Shot (Mario Tennis series) article, along with a quick list of each Power Shot.
4. Tails777 (talk) I'm now officially confused as to why we had these two types of Power Shots in the same article. Per all, I feel this option would be the most efficient.

So, if we do merge the Offensive/Defensive Power Shots, that would result in a massive article like we have for Special Shots which as I pointed out, very few special shots share their effects (e.g. Mario not using fire for his Special Shot in Super Rush). I do agree on splitting the Special Shots between Hoops/Sports Mix, Tennis Aces and Super Rush, as you said. For the Power Shots, the resulting merged article would have four main tables of around 20 items each. I imagine it could be divided in sections like Power Tennis Offensive, Power Tennis Defensive, Power Tour Offensive and Power Tour Defensive.
