Sprites

I've reverted some images back because sprites aren't meant to be higher res than it is shown. If you want a big one so bad, you can find a proper image program to resize. As of now, don't make sprites larger than they actually are. Ray Trace^(T|C) 05:40, 11 July 2015 (EDT)

RE: Ice Mario Picture

Removing the background causes black pixels surrounding the artwork. Character artworks with non-white background released by Nintendo Press Room shouldn't be removed unless a higher resolution exist.

While I appreciate the support vote for Shadow Mario, you need to include a reason as to why you're supporting it. Unlike regular nominations, where no support reason is necessary, denominations require you to include a valid reason. A simple "per proposer" is fine, but make sure to keep that in mind. Uploads

You uploaded File:W7-7NSMB.png (before I replaced it) and I noticed you used YouTube as a source. I have been trying to encourage others to upload higher quality images through the use of emulators or other tools to capture screenshots cleanly so that way Category:Images to be reuploaded with higher quality is more manageable, {{image-quality}} gets used less often (your upload would qualify for the tag), and files are more reasonably sized (both dimensionally and in bytes). If you need help how to get started, I have a prototype guide with information not only about what emulators to use but how to make it easier to obtain screenshots if moderate progress needs to be made in the game (such as the screenshot you took). --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) ^{(Stats - Contribs)} 21:58, 22 November 2016 (EST)

Hopefully my suggestion can aid in deriving screenshots yourself instead of relying on other websites to get images. With the emulation option, there is more you can do with it and it can supply high quality imagery, if you know what you are doing. I think it's more common for newer systems for many users to default to YouTube or something compared to older systems, even more so with let's-plays. I hope to remedy that as much as possible. Just a short bit ago, I replaced several images belonging to Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, Super Mario 3D Land, New Super Mario Bros. 2, and Yoshi's New Island, as most were YouTube-derived. HANS fixes that issue; a real hardware 3DS homebrew application that can take clean PNGs as the cartridge or eShop version is running. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) ^{(Stats - Contribs)} 02:11, 23 November 2016 (EST)
