U1. Favorite Retired User	U1. Favorite Retired User This award recognizes various retired users of the community for their achievement and other neat things that are appreciated and will be missed. The bullet points don’t mean to speak for their entire time spent here but just a glimpse and what they’ve done. Nominee Summary/Description 3Dejong Was very popular in early 2007; in a large number of comics; known for the Graveyard Drink fad and being "random". Helped upload more than 500 images when the wiki was young. Son of Suns Was an early Bureaucrat; helped to create several higher quality early articles and Featured Articles. Known for his avatar of a communist Mario. Plumber Founded Fantendo and served as The ‘Shroom’s Third Director. Initially known for the Cheese Craze of ’07, he became a popular user during the initial formation of much of this community. Smiddle Former Userpedia Sysop. Popular user in 2007, known for his unmatchable randomness and enjoyment of Weird Al and waffles; started several fads such as “HEAD ASPLOSION”. Volke Was Fun Stuff Sub-director in 2010; also known as Z3r0 Tw0 and Luigi001. YellowYoshi398 Formerly Mariowiki and Userpedia Sysop and Patroller, his love of cheese was very well-known. Helped add minute details to articles about the Mario Universe, namely Mario RPGs. Time Q Former Bureaucrat, contributed extensively to the Club Nintendo comic articles and the Featured Article system. Phoenix Rider Formerly known as "Monty Mole", spent two terms as a Sysop for a total around 4 years, as well as serving as a Forum Moderator. Created the first "Status" sub-page, and one of the wiki's first fictions, and acted as mentor for many new users despite being a known cheese-hater. Sir Grodus Early Sysop, known for contributing a lot including to articles about the DiC Mario cartoons, Nintendo Adventure Books, and to the Wiki Alliance project. RandomYoshi Former #mwchat operator, known for his love of Math and Mafia. Knife Former Sysop for two terms totaling just over 3 years, with the first term being one of the shortest at 33 days. Tucayo Former Sysop of both Mariowiki (around 3 years) and Userpedia (around 4 months). Former Co-Director of The ‘Shroom. Bop1996 Mariowiki Sysop for 6 months, writer for the Community Report for The ‘Shroom, and avid mafia player. Marioguy1 Former Mariowiki Sysop, Co-Director of The ‘Shroom’s Pipe Plaza, Marioboards moderator, Userpedia Steward and Bureaucrat, #mwchat operator, amongst other things. Castle Toad Former #mwchat and #userpedia operator and Userpedia sysop. He is known to be very friendly and optimistic, as well as for making lots of picture edits for the community, and being a popular singer in his area.
U2. Favorite Written Fiction	U2. Favorite Written Fiction This award recognizes the creative stories that vary greatly in style and genre, made by Users within this community usually featuring Users and themes from this community. Please give each of these stories a read to better know what they are, the styles and voice of the writers, and just general entertainment from reading them. Nominee Summary/Description User Soup A comedic parody of a news/talk show, specifically The Soup, based on events that happened in the Mariowiki (chat, forum, wiki) and extended community, featuring various recurring sections, characters, and themes. User Soup was highly popular within the community, spurring a few parodies of its own to follow its footsteps after it ended its run on January 1st 2011. Corruption This is an ongoing action/disaster story. There are 18 parts completed, with 25-30 planned. New Sherlock Mario This is an ongoing (likely canceled) series of mystery stories. Two are currently finished (The Case of the Toxic Donut and The Case of the Haunted House), with 15 chapters, an intro, and conclusion; the third story, The Donut Shop Dilemma has the introduction completed, but has not been updated in a while. Project Aviate A reboot of Tabuu’s earlier stories, Aviate and Safety, this story continues the darker action and drama style with a unique format. There is a collaboration with Scarecrow, who creates the songs for the Boss Fight chapters. Pokemon Black and White – Wiki Edition This adventure story, unfortunately stagnant, follows characters based on Users from the community though the Pokémon region of Unova, following elements of the Black/White games and animé. The Users who characters are based on had a hand before the story was written, presenting the author, Dr. Javelin, with desired teams, moves, personalities, and designs. Toadbert’s Riveting Tale of his Trip to the Grocery It is a tongue-in-cheek adventure/comedy set of small stories detailing a simple trip to the grocery store that went horribly wrong. It is riveting. Lily Troof: Ace Attorney A spoof on Ace Attorney featuring Users from the community and some OCs in a total of 5 planned cases, with one completed and the second nearly done. Clue: The Scottish Mario Play Written in a play format, it is a parody of Shakespeare’s Macbeth, featuring Users in each character's role. P-132 A rewrite of Project 132 (beta), effectively making it a reboot of both The Resolutions of 132 and Typical Tragedy An Imperfect Breakfast A 13-chapter completed story about an adventure starting from, well, an imperfect breakfast.
U3. Favorite Comic	U3. Favorite Comic This awards acknowledges several of the many drawn or sprite comics made by users in this community. Nominee Summary/Description Uniju Holiday Theater It is an ongoing sprite comic started in 2008 involving a series of adventures experienced during holidays and special occasions (e.g.: Halloween). A spin-off was created using a set of randomly generated panels of UHT called Three Letter Acronym. Brawl of the Wiki A completed sprite comic with 100 issues; it revolves around a user who gets sucked into the Mariowiki World. Trolls' Island It is an on-going sprite comic revolving around a group of users who fight off trolls on an evil island. It currently has over 60 individual comics. Wreck It is a sprite comic set in the Mariowiki; it follows the quest of a user, who upon his return begins noticing strange things happening in the Mariowiki. Tales from the Moon It is a monochrome comic, hand-drawn using tablet. It follows the quest of a young toad with stylish hair who gets sucked into the mysterious Magical Land of Canada. The Tonight Show (with Jorge Castillo) Sprite comic serving as the spiritual successor (“Season Two”) of the popular "Friday Night Live". Toadbert Plays Oregon Trail Hand-drawn comic following Bros & Snack through nonsensical adventures. The Adventure for Us It is a hand drawn comic centering around the departure of a user from The Super Mario Boards. Kio-Wirima Sprite comic featuring murder and the supernatural and mysteries and puns. I Heard You Have A Dragon Problem? An action/comedy comic that started out on the forum as a simple casual improv that quickly grew much more complex in story, art, and effort. It follows Mr. Edo riding into town to take care of a small town’s dragon problem, only to discover that the problem is much larger. Almond Factory A silly adventure comic following Anton, Brock, and Smasher fighting against an unknown evil force. Wikiball Based off of the popular Polandball comics elsewhere on the internet, these short comics are a collective made not by an individual but anyone who follows the rules and posts. Space Pizzas ate Monday A sci-fi homage/parody comic following the adventures of a vampire space cop and a dinosaur chemist on their way back home.
U4. Favorite User Design	U4. Favorite User Design This award recognizes a User who has developed a community persona that really clicks with the rest of the community. The nominations have been selected for their unique style, depth, impact, design, and other cool things. Nominee Summary/Description Walkazo She is a Dragon-Koopa, an unofficial name for the species also including Bowser, with red eyes and blue hair. The design is based on her OC, Bowselta, the wife of Bowser in her fanfics. Mr. Edo Known mostly by his original character "Fenrir Mildred Edo", a purple ice dragon mutt with green hair. Edo changes his character appearance based on various media he finds interest in at the time, with each one taking on a creative and unique personality and style. His favorite flavor of tea is rooibos vanilla. Puddin Puddin is a Magikoopa with red robes, brown hair, square glasses, and a blue cape, but has a new color palette with a purple robe, a green cape, and green shoes. He really likes toucans, and is often surrounded by them. Lives in The Macadamia Realm, a place created by him as the setting for several comics. Uniju His design is based on Orbinauts, sea urchin-like badniks from the Sonic the Hedgehog series. Rather than spiked balls, ABXY buttons hover around his main body. He appears in many comics, and is also the creator of several popular ones like Uniju Holiday Theater. Crocodile Dippy Dippy is a cyan Pikachu carrying a blue electric guitar, with a more recent design being worked on. This newer design, which she calls “outback Dippy”, is still a cyan Pikachu, but instead has an akubra, rifle, and backpack. Her backstory includes being abandoned as a toddler, raised in the way of the Crocodile gods, and taught how to use weaponry. Toadbert101 Toadbert resembles Luigi with shades, an open business suit, and a loose tie, presumably to show just how serious he is about absolutely everything ever. Being quite well at drawing expressions, Toadbert draws comics depicting his everyday adventures, from Oregon Trail to grocery shopping. Founding member of The Silly hats Club. Master Crash Despite being named after a Bob-omb from Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, he more closely resembles Luigi / Mr. L. Because he is a User who has been around for many years, he is featured in many classic Userpedia fictions. Groden Groden is an insane pigman and that pretty much sums up everything. Smasher Being a very active member and admin on the Marioboards, his design pops up in all sorts of scenarios. This Neptune Originally a Bowser that was half-grayscale, he is now fully gray with red eyes which totally looks more hardcore totally. This design, which he refers to as his Dark Bowser form, has some variations in appearance, particularly with the eyebrows, which is probably because of something evil maybe. Eyebrows are weird. Allegedly over 40,000 years old, he has a boisterous, violent, and larger-than-life personality which some pass off as “cute”. MrConcreteDonkey Despite his name, MCD is a regular Cyndaquil with a posh monocle and top hat. Because he is a demon who can hypnotize anyone upon eye contact, his eyes remain shut until necessary. He is Edo’s hat. Anton Anton is a redheaded magikoopa wearing white mage robes, specializing in hypnosis (totally isn’t a Psycho Kamek rip-off wearing a wig, really, totally), advice, tentacles, and style, with a tendency to alternate between stern & serious and quacky & wacky. Aside from headling the Dear Anton advice column in The ‘Shroom, where his appearance changes with the theme of a featured question, he has been featured in many contemporary comics and fiction in the community. Guildmaster of Team Chex Mix, leading his close friends on grand adventures of doing pretty much nothing but silly nonsense. DragonFreak A purple dragon with green hair, not to be confused with Mr. Edo; she was originally based off of Spyro. She is constantly and unreasonably cheerful about stuff, especially Mafia games, dragons, and weird things.

Favorite Community Event Nominee Summary/Description Awards Ceremony Held in August 2014, covering 65 awards broken between Mario, Fail, Userpedia, and Shroom categories. Can be reread here April Fool's Day The joke for 2015 was a series of Kong jokes, references, and fake hype, with information on the main page changed and several faux articles made. The content has been archived here Awards Mafia IV An annual mafia game played as part of the Mario Awards ceremony tie-ins last year. It’s typically very large with many different factions and roles. Had roughly 37 players and lasted for 26 phases, ending with Innocents winning. MK7 Tournament Mario Kart 7 tournament held in conjunction with the awards. 20 players participated ending with a victory by Cirdec. The Official Mariowiki Game Night Thread Community game night, going strong for 2 years now, hosted by Mariowiki users for Mariowiki users to get together and play all sorts of online games. MK8 Tournament Mario Kart 8 tournament held in conjunction with the awards. 19 players participated ending with a victory by Cirdec SKmarioman. Dueling Network (Yugioh) Tournament Yugioh tournament played during Awards festivities last year. 8 people played ending with a win by Crackin. Draw Smasher An innocent silly topic that slowly then suddenly snowballed. Only by looking at it can you really know what it is; these words mean nothing, go look.

U9. Favorite Community Game	U9. Favorite Community Game This award recognizes the various popular games played together by the community. Nominee Summary/Description User Total Drama A series of games based on the Total Drama cartoons. The first game was held between July of 2012 and February of 2013 and was won by Smasher. KO a Character A type of elimination game that contains a list of characters that can be KO'd. Players take turns removing one character from the list until only one remains. Most KO a Character games can be found in the Elimination board on the forums. User Big Brother A series of games based on the American version of the Big Brother reality game show. The first game in the series was held between September of 2011 and January of 2012 and was won by Baby Mario Bloops. Information on following games are located on Userpedia with these links. Mafia A game in which the majority of the players, known as the innocents, must try to find and eliminate a small team, known as the mafia, before they are outnumbered. Depending on the game, there may be additional teams, players who are not part of any alignment, rules, themes, anything that the host can be creative with. Most games can be found in the Mafia board on the forums. Vote To Win A type of elimination game in which characters are pit against each other in one-on-one matches. Players vote on the character they want to win the match, and the one with the least amount of votes after a set time limit is eliminated. This continues over several rounds until only one character is left. Most Vote to Win games can be found in the Elimination board on the forums. Hurt and Heal A type of elimination game in which a list of characters all start with a set amount of health. Players take turns decreasing or increasing a character's health, and when a character's health reaches zero, it is eliminated. This continues until only one character is left. Most Hurt and Heal games can be found in the Elimination board on the forums. Counting Games A type of game where all you have to do is count as more posts are made, but rules varying game by game increase the complexity or add some sort of flair. Most Counting games can be found in the main Forum Games board. Apples to Apples A online card game involving playing nouns that fit adjectives. Several bots using various injokes are popular within the Mariowiki user chatrooms, with ones ran by Smasher and Turboo being the most widely played. Board Game Online An online board game where players attempt to make it to the end first by any means possible. There are many different items, skills, and events that can help or hinder the players' progress. Can be played either individually or in teams. May not be suitable for younger players. Uno A card game where players try to get rid of their cards by matching the color or number of the last card played. There are some special cards that can affect the game. The first player to play all of their cards wins the hand. A chatroom bot that runs the game is run by Icemario. Cards Against Humanity A card game similar in style with Apples to Apples, with "question" cards that must be answered, with often more raunchy answers. Players try to be as funny as possible given the cards that they have. The current "Card Czar" picks their favorite answer, and the person who played that card gets a point. Draw It Draw It, played over on Epic Mafia, is basically an online Pictionary. Users draw something and the others have to guess what it is; they get points if they guess it correctly and guess it first Fibbage A trivia game where a question is given from a category for the players to all provide fake answers to and trick others into believing it to be the correct one. Points are scored for choosing the correct answer, as well as tricking others into believing yours. Games are often played on the forum in other communities, but here it’s played in chat, usually hosted by SonicMario.
