Using the Print Scrn / SysRq Button

Have a video clip with what looks like an excellent snapshot when you pause it at a spot? Here's how you can edit it to turn that snapshot into a file to upload:

  1. Pause it at the spot, then press the Print Scrn / SysRq button. It's next to the F12 button on most computers, diagonal from the Backspace button. This button copies whatever is on your computer, like using Copy and Paste.
  2. Open up a Paint document. Look in All Programs >> Accessories.
  3. Use Ctrl + V or Edit >> Paste. Your old screen is now pasted!
  4. Select the 'Select' button from the toolbar to create a box of what you want left of the screen (cropping the image).
  5. Press Ctrl + C to copy or Edit >> Copy.
  6. Go to File >> New. Say No when it asks to save untitled.
  7. Paste as before. You have a clean file to save as a bmp, png or jpg and upload!

Optional: After pasting the old screen, save the file and crop the image with another, familiar picture program (like Adobe).

Hope this helps! Wayoshi

There is an easier program that takes better screenshots, it is called HyperSnap 7, you may need to buy it or crack it :P--

How do you add an article to the Image requested page? --PeteyPiranhaLover 12:27, 8 August 2006 (EDT)

Simply add {{Image}} to the top of the article. --Steve (talk) 12:51, 8 August 2006 (EDT)

It should. What EXACTLY are you doing? Maybe I can help. I did create it, afterall.HK

As long as the image template isn't on the page, it should automatically remove itself from the category. Yoshi876 (talk)
