A ball[1] is a silver sphere with a red treble clef on it. It is also an item found only in Yoshi Topsy-Turvy. Balls help Yoshi get through levels. Sometimes, a ball rolls over a xylophone, causing a rising note to appear, and Yoshi can use it as a platform. Yoshi can jump onto the ball, and when the Game Boy Advance is tilted (), the ball rolls in the corresponding direction. Balls are also found in Shuffle Mode.
