Ski Yoshi is a transformation of Yoshi in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3 and Yoshi's Island DS. Unlike other transformations, which are triggered by entering a morph bubble, this form is attained when entering a house, and is not timed. Yoshi dons skis, while Baby Mario is clad in a winter cap sporting his iconic M. Yoshi can only return to his normal state after completing or failing the current level. Levels in which this form is featured are characterized by hills and ramps. If Yoshi does not land properly upon descent from a jump, he becomes Snowball Yoshi. It is replaced by Bobsled Yoshi in Yoshi's New Island.
