"Whirlwind" is often a synonym for tornadoes, the whirlwind is a generic subject (in fact, Mario series tornadoes are closer to real life whirlwinds than true tornadoes) and at least in French, it's even called a "tornado". Is the naming difference significant enough to keep these separate?
