The Final Battle
Mario running along a layer of Hone Yuka.

Hone Yuka is a type of platform appearing in New Super Mario Bros. U along with New Super Luigi U. It is found in the level The Final Battle, in which it makes up a majority of the platforms provided. Each layer is found just over the lava. It is a floor made up of skeleton bones. Mario and Luigi may use them as standard, solid platforms. However, whenever Bowser Jr. in his Junior Clown Car slams down on a layer of Hone Yuka, it causes brief ripples which must be avoided so as not to be stunned. If an enemy is on Hone Yuka as the shockwave occurs, it is likely to be stunned for a moment as well.
