It has been suggested that this page be split into Mona Pizza, Mona Pizza (song). (discuss) |
- This article is about the restaurant. For the record from WarioWare: Twisted!, see Mona Pizza (souvenir).

Mona Pizza is a restaurant found in Diamond City, and is the rival of Pizza Dinosaur. Mona works here part-time under the manager Joe, who also owned her past place of employment, the Gelateria. Mona Pizza appears in the WarioWare series of games and sells pizza, the only known variety of which is the Mona Special. Mona Pizza's name and logo are both based on the famous Mona Lisa painting by Leonardo da Vinci.
Jingle
Mona's stage in WarioWare: Twisted! features a commercial for Mona Pizza, complete with a long advertising jingle. This jingle is sung almost completely by Sal Out, with interludes of "Yum! Yum! Yum! Yum!", as well as various comments (some of which were in Italian) from the manager Joe. The latter parts of the song are sung by The Dinosaurs, who are employees of the rival pizzeria Pizza Dinosaur, and advertises Pizza Dinosaur and its variously shrewd techniques.
A subtitled version of the jingle (complete with a picture slideshow featuring limited animation) is unlockable in the form of a secret "Mona Pizza" souvenir in WarioWare: Touched!; this souvenir can only be unlocked by playing WarioWare: Touched! with WarioWare: Twisted! in the Nintendo DS's Game Boy Advance slot. An excerpt of the song appears in the second stage of the microgame Castanet, First Chair in WarioWare: Smooth Moves. Both the English and Japanese versions of the song appear as records in WarioWare Gold. While the song itself does not appear in WarioWare: Get It Together!, the countermelody of the second half of the music heard in Mona's portion of the staff credits is an arrangement of the song.
An arranged version of the song also appears in both English - in an edited version - and Japanese in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, under the name "Mona Pizza's Song." (Japanese: こちら☆モナピザ Kochira Mona Piza) WarioWare: D.I.Y. Showcase has a record called "Mona ★ Pizza," made by 18-Volt. In the English version, Sal Out's vocals are provided by Christina Peyser, who is Ashley's voice actress in the WarioWare series, while the Pizza Dinosaur employees' vocals are done by Nate Bihldorff and Andy Hartpence. The jingle is also one of the tracks featured in Donkey Konga 3: Tabehōdai! Haru Mogitate 50 Kyoku.
WarioWare: Twisted! lyrics
This here is Mona Pizza!
Makers of the world's best eats-a!
Fresh sauce and cheese galo-ore,
Brought straight to your front do-or! (Yum! Yum! Yum! Yum!)
This here is Mona Pizza! (Buon giorno!)
Makers of all tasty treats-a! (Buono!)
Our pie's crispy, crunchy cru-ust, (Bellissima!)
Leaves others in the du-ust. (Mamma mia!)
Grab a hot slice and take a big bite!
It's so good that you'll start a fight for more...
Mona Pizza! (I'm the manager of this joint!)
Mona Pizza! (My name is Joe!)
Mona Pizza! (It's a pizza art!)
Mona Pizza! (I said a "pizza art", ahahahaha!)
We represent Pizza Dinosaur!
We got the most stores in the world!
Our crust is tough and our sauce is thin,
But we're everywhere so you gotta give in!
Mona Pizza's got nothing on us,
'Cause we've got 6000 stores plus!
Pizza Dinosaur!
Pizza Dinosaur!
Wahahahahha! Wahahahahha!

Trivia
- The Mona Pizza logo (the picture depicting Mona as a spoof of Mona Lisa) is not present in the Japanese version of WarioWare: Twisted! and did not appear until the Japanese release of WarioWare: Touched! It was probably added to the English version of Twisted! due to the later release and since Touched! was released prior to Twisted! outside of Japan.
- The Mona Pizza delivery box's design is completely different in the Japanese version of WarioWare: Twisted!.
- The characters on this box are The Pork Loins, the band from the Garage Rock microgame from WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$! and Mona's intro in WarioWare: Touched!
- Because WarioWare: Twisted! was not released in China, the "Mona Pizza" souvenir in the Chinese version of WarioWare: Touched! can only be unlocked with Chinese version of WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$!, and the song is in English, with Chinese subtitles. However, there are no localized GBA games released in South Korea, so it may be impossible to unlock this souvenir in the Korean version of WarioWare: Touched! in a regular way.[citation needed]
