Cruise Mileage Points function as a type of currency in Mario Party 7. The player may spend these points at the Duty-Free Shop to purchase minigames, figures, characters, and extra features for the game. Cruise Mileage Points can be earned in a variety of ways, such as playing minigames, completing King of the River in Minigame Cruise, or even by having a regular party.
During a Party Cruise, one point is earned for every space the players move. During a Solo Cruise, one point is earned for every space the players move, in addition to five hundred points if the players wins against a computer player. During a Deluxe Cruise and Minigame Cruise, ten points are earned for every minigame played. As for King of the River, fifty points are earned for every minigame won, fifty for every minigame won during the longest streak, fifty for every remaining life, and three hundred points per Bonus Medal.
