This article is about Mushroom Heights, a level in New Super Mario Bros. U. For other uses, see Acorn Plains-4.

Template:Levelbox Mushroom Heights, or Acorn Plains-4, is the fourth level of Acorn Plains in New Super Mario Bros. U. It is the first athletic course, and the first course to introduce Goombrats and Balloon Baby Yoshi (although the same Baby Yoshi can be acquired just before Mushroom Heights on the world map). This is the first course of the Acrobat Pack in Boost Rush. This course is unlocked by completing Yoshi Hill, and this course in turn unlocks Lemmy's Swingback Castle upon completion.

Layout

The course comprises of moving Mushroom Platforms, such as ones that move up and down, or ones that tilt forward and backward. The level begins near some Mushroom Platforms moving up and down, along with two Piranha Plants, a ? Block containing a power-up, and a Goombrat. Some stationary Mushroom Platforms follow, along with some more Goombrats and a tilting Mushroom Platform. Three more tilting Mushroom Platforms are found above a pit, with Goombrats on them. Some platforms moving up and down are found, with a Piranha Plant and two Big Piranha Plants. The Checkpoint Flag follows. More Mushroom Platforms moving up and down are found, along with Goombrats. A group of four platforms moving up and down are found with a Koopa Troopa and two Piranha Plants on them. A section of tilting Mushroom Platforms are found with Big Piranha Plants in between, with the Goal Pole at the end.

Star Coins

  • Star Coin 1: On a blue mushroom platform near the beginning of the course, the player must use the Flying Squirrel Suit or Balloon Baby Yoshi to reach the first Star Coin. Alternatively, the player can make a running jump from the stage's first set of Blocks to reach it.
  • Star Coin 2: The second Star Coin is found below a blue Mushroom Platform, and can be reached by using Flying Squirrel Mario.
  • Star Coin 3: Under a moving Mushroom Platform and between two Big Piranha Plants, the player must wait until one of the latter goes down, or gently glide their way down, in order to reach the third Star Coin.
