4-koma Gag Battle is a series of Japanese comedy manga book anthologies, written and illustrated by various artists, and published by Kobunsha. Kobunsha has published various mangas for various different video games, under the series, Hinotama Game Comic Series, including various books based on Mario titles. The premise of the books is that they are composed of many short, brief stories told exclusively in the format of four panels, a format which is called Yonkoma in Japan.

An altogether different series of books exists, with the same premise and a similar title, named 4koma Manga Kingdom, for which this series is commonly confused with. The similar, Super Mario 4koma Manga Theater exists with the same premise, but was only published throughout 1993.
