Please message me here if there are errors with pages, if I made a mistake on a page, or tell me if you need help with something.
Mario musician artwork
The notice was placed there for a reason. Please do not move this artwork to sprites as it has been repeatedly done before. Mario JC 22:06, January 19, 2020 (EST)
Templates
Please avoid using mainspace templates like {{FA}} and {{character-infobox}} on your userpage as they can accidentally categorise your page onto mainspace categories (as yours is currently under Category:Featured articles). You can copy the code in the template pages and modify/paste it to your userpage, however. Mario JC 17:58, February 23, 2020 (EST)
Editor notes
Please don't leave publicly visible handwritten notes for editors like this and the note under the "Favored" section here. We have notice templates like {{construction}} for this purpose, or if it's for something smaller and specific, type the note like this <!-- Note here --> so it's only visible in the wikitext editor. Mario JC 21:16, March 11, 2020 (EDT)
Image quality
Please stop uploading and reverting to poorly cropped and low-quality images. If it's not going to be done well (though it's best that it's avoided altogether), simply upload it normally without it. Mario JC 06:08, March 20, 2020 (EDT)
And if you're changing the character's main image, make sure to edit the page so that the image doesn't become gigantic like it was with Daisy's page. CastleResearch (talk) 16:42, July 21, 2020 (EDT)
Remember to add navigation templates and categories for new articles. Mario JC 20:27, March 25, 2020 (EDT)
Re: Dr. Mario World animations
Several things
- Download game into your phone, transfer files into your computer. If it's in Android, it's under Data/com.nintendo.zama/. I don't know the file paths for Apple.
- Open the game's contents with AssetStudioGUI using the Load Folder functionality.
- Click on "Asset List", organize by type.
- All model files are under "Animator" (not Animation). You also may need textures, though exporting the Animator file data does generate the texture.
- Get a 3D modeling program to import the exported FBX. Import the FBX with it. FBX comes with animations. Also read this thread too since Dr. Mario World models for 3ds Max will come with normals and shininess issues.
- Render the animation with your modeling program. If you get to this step, I can show you how to render all frames.
- Make an animated gif out of the exported frames with GIMP or an image editing program.
Sorry, it's a bit complicated but that's about as basic as it gets. Ray Trace(T|C) 01:09, August 23, 2020 (EDT)
