The effects of hitting a Bomb Car has the same effect as getting blown up by either a Bob-omb or a Blue Shell. Hitting the car with an item such as a Yoshi Egg or Green Shell will also cause the bomb car to explode.
Similar to the Bomb Car is the Mini Bomb Kart, which appears in Mario Kart 64.
