Template:Justreleased Template:Infobox Mario Party DS is the eleventh installment in the Mario Party series (thirteenth in Japan) and was released for North America on November 19, 2007. It includes more than seventy new minigames and five new game boards. It's functions include touch control, microphone control and dual-screen challenges. It is possible for up to four players to play in wireless mode.

Story

The game begins with an average day in the Mushroom Kingdom. This is soon changed when Kamek drops off some fliers inviting Mario and the gang to a get-together at Bowser's Castle to have dinner. However, once there Bowser and Bowser Jr. entrap everyone behind bars and shrink them to the size of chess pieces; they seek five powerful crystals and shrink down the crew so they can’t stop them. They are then dropped off by sack in the middle of a neighborhood which leads them to the first board, Wiggler's Garden. Each of the tiny heroes wants to be the one and only Superstar that brings down King Bowser; from there on out it's everyone for themselves.

Once they beat the last board, Donkey Kong comes in for dinner, and accidentally smashes Bowser's staff. They are all back to normal size, and they immediately fight Bowser. After they tie up Bowser and Bowser Jr., they combine the last piece of the crystal, which combines into a Crystal DS. Bowser explains he knew that all 5 crystals made a fun challenge (via Tricky Triangles) and that he got a bit too carried away. Mario forgives him and unties them. They all are happy and the credits roll.

Confirmed Characters

8 classic characters can be played as. The tiny characters will encounter friends and gigantic foes from the Marioverse.
