Template:Levelbox Blooming Lakitus, or Layer-Cake Desert-6, is the sixth course of Layer-Cake Desert in New Super Mario Bros. U. It is unlocked by passing either Spike's Spouting Sands or Dry Desert Mushrooms. Passing this level unlocks Morton's Compactor Castle. Layout
The level begins near a group of palm trees with two ? Blocks above them. The first one contains either a Super Mushroom or an Ice Flower, depending on the player's form. A group of rolling hills is found, and two Piranha Plants are on them. A Lakitu that tosses Piranha Pods that spawn Piranha Plants when grounded also appears. Two Note Blocks appear, along with a Koopa Troopa. Another Koopa Troopa is found on a Brick Block structure, which is followed by a group of Note Blocks, along with a Piranha Plant in front of a hidden area containing coins. Another group of three Note Blocks is found, with the third one containing a Super Star. More rolling hills and Piranha Plants are found, along with a structure made of Brick Blocks and ? Blocks. The Checkpoint Flag is found in a group of palm trees. More rolling hills and Piranha Plants are found, along with Note Blocks used to reach a Red Ring. A Big Piranha Plant is found at the end of the hills. More rolling hills are found, and a POW Block on a platform can be used to cause a group of coins to fall. After a group of Piranha Plants, a Koopa Troopa is found on a platform. A hidden Roulette Block can also be found. After a group of Piranha Plants, Big Piranha Plants, and rolling hills, the Goal Pole is found.
