Gangplank Galleon lyrics
Please do not post "lyrics" to a song unless it's in an actual, recognized language like other vocal songs in the Mario franchise. It's very likely the vocals were meant to be unintelligible sounds, and the fan-created lyrics were the result of their listening for English words in the vocals and transcribing them based on that. - That's absurd; the lyrics are clearly English and there's nothing to imply that it's gibberish. There's nothing to debate here: just listen to the song, the lyrics match perfectly to what I written. Pikazilla (talk) 10:17, 9 October 2018 (EDT)
- If you believe it's "absurd" then please find and submit official lyrics as said by Mario jc above. I, too, agree on the high possibility that for all we know, the lyrics could be gibberish (or they're meant to be unintelligible). Song lyrics like those from the DK Rap, Phantom of the Bwahpera, and Jump Up, Super Star! have lyrics sections because their lyrics are official...unlike, well, what you added. - I honestly don't know why this 'it could be gibberish' mentality even exists when you can just hear the song to confirm the lyrics. I will admit that finding an official source of the lyrics is difficult, but that does not mean Nintendo won't release those lyrics in the future, especially once the game releases. Once that source gets posted, the lyrics should be posted. We can wait until then, but we shouldn't dismiss the lyrics once confirmed. Pikazilla (talk) 16:57, 9 October 2018 (EDT)
- The reason they sound vaguely similar is because, as I said, fans listened for English words in the vocals (which since the instruments are so loud you can only barely hear) and the "lyrics" came about based on what they heard. It happens for other songs with unintelligible vocals (e.g. "Title (Big Brain Academy)" in Brawl) and even vocals in other languages (e.g. the Brawl theme), and there are multiple different interpretations. That doesn't necessarily mean it is English. Mario JC 20:45, 9 October 2018 (EDT)
