Sliding Catch is a fielding ability in Mario Superstar Baseball. It allows the character to dive farther than usual to catch a ball. The Sliding Catch activates only occasionally. It is signified by a sparkling light surrounding the character's baseball glove body and a sound effect. Characters who can use the ability include Mario, Princess Daisy, Wario, Koopa, Shy Guy, Dry Bones, Noki and Toadette.
The ability reappears in Mario Super Sluggers where it is renamed Super Dive. The only characters who can perform this move are Daisy, Baby Daisy and Shy Guy.
