Mandrake (originally localized as Nasty Garlic) is an uprooted and brown root with a sour face and a peculiar body shape that appears in WarioWare: Touched! It is based on the real-life plant of the same name that, according to legend, shrieks when is dug up and kills anyone that hears it. When Wario feels sick, he goes to the fridge and tries to get some garlic to cure his sickness. Though he accidentally grabs the mandrake, he eats it anyway. The mandrake causes Wario's immune system to attack the germs (where the player can tap the germs and get the garlic to eat them) which then causes Wario to turn into Wario-Man. Once Wario-Man's story is completed, the player can drag it to Wario and turn into Wario-Man in the main menu to play his microgames. Wario can return back to normal by feeding him a Wario Bomb.

This incident is referenced in WarioWare Gold when Ashley brings similar supposed garlic to the Potluck Gang, which Red worryingly identifies as mandrake root.[1]
