Softnica (formely known as Pax Softnica, パックスソフトニカ) is a Japanese video game and software developer founded in August 1983. The company had a strong relationship with Nintendo and was considered second-party [1]. It was hired as a sub-contractor for several Nintendo-developed games, such as the first two installments of the Mother series and several handheld releases.
