- This article is about Spike's Tumbling Desert, a level in New Super Luigi U. For other uses, see Layer-Cake Desert-1.
Spike's Tumbling Desert, or Layer Cake Desert-1, is the first course of Layer Cake Desert in New Super Luigi U. It is unlocked by completing Lemmy's Lights-Out Castle, and its own completion will unlock Underground Grrrols and Piranhas in the Dark.
Layout
The level has rising and falling Brick Block platforms, many of which have Spikes on them.
Star Coins
- Star Coin 1: Above the first Spike in the level.
- Star Coin 2: In a secret area beside the fifth Spike.
- Star Coin 3: Above the Spike to the right of the P-Switch.
Luigi Sighting
- There is a bone shaped as Luigi to the left of the P-Switch.
