The Blunderbuss is Kaptain K. Rool's weapon he carries with him during the events of Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest. The blunderbuss is able to fire cannonballs, spiked cannonballs, barrels, and colored puffs of smoke that can affect the Kong battling him at present. It can also be used to make K. Rool fly with the barrel acting as the exhaust, and can be used to hit potential targets and vacuum them up. However, if anything is jammed inside the barrel of the gun, it can cause a misfire and explode in the holder's face.
Kaptain K. Rool uses the blunderbuss during the first duel with Diddy Kong and Dixie Kong inside his airship. He is shown smacking Donkey Kong with the blunderbuss and shooting cannonballs at him while he is tied up. He then attempts to strike the Kongs rescuing DK firing more projectiles at them, but each time, his blunderbuss is jammed with cannonballs. K. Rool is defeated, but takes his blunderbuss with him during his fall from Crocodile Isle and plundering into the water.
He uses it one last time to end the Kongs for good in Krocodile Kore. But once again, after a cannonball jams his blunderbuss, it misfires, but also sends Kaptain K. Rool into the core of the island and causes it to explode and sink into the ocean. The blunderbuss presumably disappears at this point.
An image of K. Rool wielding the blunderbuss can be seen in the sunken ship segments of Gloomy Galleon in Donkey Kong 64.
