Manaphy is a Water-type Legendary Pokémon that first appeared in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl. Through breeding, it can make Phione (who, oddly enough, is unable to evolve into Manaphy). In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, it can be spawned from a Poké Ball and uses Heart Swap, its signature move, which temporarily swaps the body of two players. The players' damage and stocks carry between stocks, and self-destruction causes the dying player to lose a life and not the opponent.
Manaphy appears as a stage hazard in Kalos Pokémon League stage in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. Occasionally appearing in Flood Chamber, it uses Whirlpool to create one in the middle of the stage that sucks players in and down to the bottom of the stage.
