Groudon is a Rock-type Pokémon that first appeared in Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire, being the mascot for Ruby Version. It is a Legendary Pokémon that can create land masses and often opposes Kyogre. In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, it can be spawned from a Poké Ball and attacks by using Overheat; after being summoned, it exerts a glowing aura around it, knocking back opponents and dealing light damage to them. Groudon's size prevents opponents from easily avoiding it, and it can occasionally turn to the other side of the stage.
