Using the Print Scrn / SysRq Button
Have a video clip with what looks like an excellent snapshot when you pause it at a spot? Here's how you can edit it to turn that snapshot into a file to upload:
- Pause it at the spot, then press the Print Scrn / SysRq button. It's next to the F12 button on most computers, diagonal from the Backspace button. This button copies whatever is on your computer, like using Copy and Paste.
- Open up a Paint document. Look in All Programs >> Accessories.
- Use Ctrl + V or Edit >> Paste. Your old screen is now pasted!
- Select the 'Select' button from the toolbar to create a box of what you want left of the screen (cropping the image).
- Press Ctrl + C to copy or Edit >> Copy.
- Go to File >> New. Say No when it asks to save untitled.
- Paste as before. You have a clean file to save as a bmp, png or jpg and upload!
Optional: After pasting the old screen, save the file and crop the image with another, familiar picture program (like Adobe).
Hope this helps! Wayoshi
- There is an easier program that takes better screenshots, it is called HyperSnap 7, you may need to buy it or crack it :P--05:36, 31 August 2013 (EDT)
