Kevin the Yoshi as an egg

As an egg, Kevin the Yoshi and other Yoshis were captured by Morton Koopa Jr. and hidden in a ? Block in level 6-4. Fortuanately, Kevin was rescued by Mario and helped him travel through World 6. However, Kevin chose to stay in World 6 with his friends instead of traveling with Mario to World 7.

New Super Mario Bros. U

Kevin did not actually appear in New Super Mario Bros. U. However, after the events of New Super Mario Bros. 2, but before the events of New Super Mario Bros. U, Kevin got revenge on Morton Koopa Jr. for trapping him in a ? Block when he was an egg by eating Morton's Magic Scepter. For this reason, Morton uses a magic hammer instead of his Magic Scepter in New Super Mario Bros. U. After eating Morton's Magic Scepter, Kevin the Yoshi gained the ability to spit pink fireballs identical to the fireballs that Morton casts in New Super Mario Bros. Wii.
