List of Mario Kart 8 beta elements
This is a list of beta elements from Mario Kart 8
Early builds
- The E3 build of Mario Kart 8 featured slightly different Mario Circuit music. The Pennzoil promotion featured an updated version of it, with improved brass and a saxophone solo.
- Kart noises in the E3 build are recycled from Mario Kart Wii. They are replaced by new engine noises.
- Character voices are recycled from previous games in the E3 build. Newer builds provide character new voices.
- E3 demos lack Spiny Shells and are only 2 laps long.
- Players are unable to slipstream in the E3 demo
- Characters did not hold items in their hands in the E3 demo.
