That's awesome! I actually just started Uni this year myself. :P I started out studying Education, but have since switched to Music. I also have way too much downtime, currently. :S I'm actually considering trying to be more active here, but I don't exactly know how well that will work out :P SJ derp :P

What's this warning doing here?

Hi, Glowsquid. I got a warning from ParaLemmy1234 (talk) for "adding inappropriate messages on article talk pages." I'd like to know what exactly I've been doing to receive this message and how I haven't gotten any advance notice to alter my inappropriate behavior. Thanks.

My sister has also gotten a warning without any sort of advance notice from the same user because she was "swearing in edit summaries."

I have a feeling that ParaLemmy1234 gave these warnings without devoting a lot of time considering if we really deserve it and that the user doesn't realize that warnings shouldn't be dealt out so lightly and generously like this.

I'm wondering. With regards to the recent move vandals' shenanigans, would that be enough to consider a change of some sort to the methods by which users are granted move privileges, or will things remain as they are? Lord Grammaticus (talk) 08:12, 19 January 2014 (EST)

I feel like that's a part of the issue; it already is an autoconfirmed privilege, and the most recent vandals have abused that by making complete junk edits to fulfill the conditions for autoconfirmation (in the case of the the potato drone, they'd made a few vandal edits that resulted in their previous block, which still counted).

I do agree that this isn't nearly as severe as what I've imagined you've had to deal with before my time (since this is the first I've ever seen of this nonsense), but it's still something to consider, I guess. Lord Grammaticus (talk)
